The Coconut House
This Lee + Mundwiler study home was built on a 25-foot wide by 90-foot deep lot and validates the design principle “less is more.” This eye-catching residence uses building materials acquired from Spain, New Zealand, and Canada and won the AIA award for single-family dwellings in 2006. The home was photographed by famed architecture photographer Julius Schulman and continues to draw the attention of building professionals as a prime example of use of land and size.
